First Fridays

This month and into April I will be designing a few posters for Studio One Arts Center in Oakland. Studio One does a poetry series that has its event every first friday as part of Art Murmur. The readings are a great way to hear local and nationally known poets read, hear some music or see some short films and get your first friday started right.

Well...

This wasn't exactly the best idea, but even though I sold just a single one of these handsome "Shannon and the Clams are DEAD" posters at the show a few weeks ago, the DJ played Betty Davis' "If I'm in Luck I Just Might Get Picked Up", I met Penelope Houston ( she is super sweet! ), and Jesse and his girlfriend bought Jeannine and I two tallboys because we were so broke. That's Oaktown for you...
