Dan Grzeca is a poster artist and print maker living and working in Chicago, IL. Dan's art is an awesome combination of scratch board and hand inked films, a back to basics technique that gives his work real grit and texture, complimented by sensitive paper and color choices that enhance the handmade quality of each drawing.Grzeca has done work for bands like the Melvins, Swans, Jeff Tweedy, and poster patrons extraordinaire The Black Keys and Phish, respectfully.Check out Dan's posters, mono prints, and tees via his bigcartel store. Any one of these would make a sweet gift for the music or art fan on your list.
I'm doing a little feature for the lead up to the 2011 Holiday season, collecting a few of my favorite artists and craftspeople who also have online outlets for their work. I hope to feature a new artist every Wednesday til Christmas, and will try to have a few bonus features as the shopping days get shorter. Remember, the current state of the world economy and the vast disparity between those with wealth and those struggling to get by is a many faceted, complex and vexing issue. But supporting handmade crafters is and always has been a great idea and a great way to let your money speak your mind about what you think is important. Think it over, enjoy the feature, and have a great holiday season!

The first run of T Shirts I did, featuring art from my show prints are both just about to sell out, and for a limited time I have both designs on sale in my online store. I hope to have two new designs available in time for the Holidays, as well as girls tees of the same "Diver" and "Motoskull" designs from the first round. These two designs are both 45% off, in a limited number of sizes. Check them out!

Here is an older photo of me selling posters at the 23rd Street Art Murmur in Oakland. These guys told me they were taking my picture, then I never heard if it was posted. I am in the midst of trying to stop logging in to my Square account on my iPhone here... pretty dashing stuff.
